41: When Life Gives You Lemon Water

41 Lemon Water

Greetings everyone! Still here. Still surviving. How about you? This week I notice some of my tastes have changed. I must get to the bottom of it. It’s National Poetry Month so I read one of my own poems called “Knoxville, Summer 1985.” Feel free to submit one of yours and I’ll be happy to read it on the podcast. I’ve been recently trying to figure out what parts of “me” are real and what parts are illusion. The truth is, it’s mostly illusion. probably the same with you too. See you next time, friends!

40: How I Joined A Cult

40 Cult

It was the mid 80s and everyone seemed to be joining cults. I might as well jump in too, right?? Here’s the story of how I almost joined a religious cult and how I escaped in the dark of night. After dinner. Before the head lice. Not sure anyone really cared. Also, Living Color is the band I had a brain-coma on. You’re welcome. Have a good week, friends!

39 Flu Whupped

39 Flu Whupped

After being taken over by the flu this week I reevaluate what it means to be in charge of one’s body and one’s life. It’s almost April, the month for fools but not for ghosts. Go figure. I realize I should not have been ignoring Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats the past 10 years. I’m still recovering my friends. Hopefully Monday will find me healthier, stronger and not as sweaty.

38: Trolls

38 Trolls

I recorded this episode, processed it and then forgot to upload it to the distributor. I shouldn’t be trusted to do a podcast. I have no idea what I’m doing. Next week will be better! I bet…

I had to practice last week’s topic this week and let go of a friendship. And, surprisingly, it wasn’t so bad. I’m not sure my wife knows how to make chili. I’m sure she thinks she knows how but she also thinks she made a good choice in a spouse. I have to figure out how to let her know. I’m noticing a resistance to aging in me and I’m trying to stop it. But when I realize it’s been almost 40 years since St. Elmo’s Fire, it kind of hurts. See you soon, my friends.

36: A Time To Let Go

Apocaleptic 36 A Time To Let Go

Well. This week has been rather hectic and I completely bailed on podcast duties. I never do that and I apologize. It’s also been a week of letting go. I had to let go of one of my favorite things ever. I thought I was going to have to let go of my art gallery. There’s a time to let everything go. Do you know when it is in your life? Okay, I’ll let you go…
